Why parents leave their kids with us

You are handing over your child on a Friday evening. Here is exactly who is in the room.

Led by a trained educator

Two adults, six kids, never more

Small on purpose. Everyone gets noticed, and bedtime routines can be honoured.

First-aid trained

Both adults are paediatric first-aid trained.

Dinner included, allergies managed

A healthy dinner every week. Tell us the allergies at booking and we cook around them.

Questions parents ask

What if my child cries at drop-off?

Common, and usually short. We stay with them, get them into something absorbing, and message you within fifteen minutes to say how it went. If a child is genuinely not settling, we call you — we will never leave you guessing.

Can I drop off a 2-year-old?

Yes. Toddlers get the closest attention, an earlier dinner if they need it, and a quiet corner to nap in from about 8.15pm. Bring their comfort item and tell us their routine.

Is this enrichment?

No. There is no curriculum, no assessment and nothing to report on. It is a Friday evening with dinner, play and a movie, run by people who happen to be early childhood professionals.

Where is it?

A private home in Sengkang, close to the MRT with drop-off parking outside. The exact address is sent after your booking is confirmed.

What if my child is unwell?

Please keep them home if they have a fever, are vomiting, or have anything contagious. Tell us and we move your session to another Friday at no cost. It protects the other five children.

Can I book for Saturday?

Not yet. Fridays only for now. If Saturdays open up, we will tell the WhatsApp list first.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel more than 48 hours before and we credit the session to another Friday. Inside 48 hours the fee stands, though we will always try to fill the spot. Full details on the terms page.

Why we started Hornbill Huddle

Most parents we know have not had a Friday night to themselves in years. Grandparents are overseas or already tired, and a sitter in your own house means tidying up first and whispering later. We wanted a regular evening you can count on, without the guilt and without a stranger in your living room.

Hornbills raise their young as a group: one bird sits with the chicks, the rest of the flock brings the food. That is the arrangement we are offering you on a Friday. Your child comes home fed and happy, and you come home having had four hours that were yours.
